MILLENNIUM POINT & THINK TANK (Birmingham, West Midlands)Cogent have recently completed the upgrade of the CCTV systems at Millennium Point and Think Tank in Birmingham City Centre. Built to celebrate and encourage science, technology and education in Birmingham and the wider region.
The upgrade included new digital recording facilities for over 100 cameras and a touch screen mapping matrix system to manage the camera deployment over 6 floors and across the sites external areas. The system manages alarm integration and audio warnings with off-site monitoring for additional security and business continuity planning of the site. Working closely with the sites facilities and on-site security teams from Corps Security.(www.the-corps.co.uk)
BIRMINGHAM & SOLIHULL MENTAL HEALTH FOUNDATION TRUST (Birmingham & Solihull, West Midlands)Cogent were involved in the design and specification of security upgrades at a Medium Secure Unit in Birmingham to achieve Dept of Health Guidelines for security. This has involved bespoke design physical security applications, new perimeter fencing and PIDS systems with CCTV, external alarms and dynamic infra-red lighting. New automated vehicle airlock gates and integrated intercom systems. (www.bsmht.nhs.uk)
FORD RETAIL (UK National)Cogent have been chosen to design and produce a technical specification to enable Ford Retail to standardise their electronic security needs at their sites across the UK. The specification document in conjunction with auditing, policies and practices will assist Ford in delivering long term value and cohesive security strategies for the group.
Our involvement will see us evaluating tenders and project managing the more complex installations and auditing existing system to ensure what was asked for has been delivered. The process will see an overview of existing installers and systems monitoring out of hours.(www.ford.co.uk)
